A lot of things have been happening since my last web entry. I have updated the Guitar Models section increasing the photo selection and making it easier to navigate. Please check it out and if you are interested in one of my guitars, click on the Pricing and Ordering icon.
I have expanded my electric guitar ideas and finally come up with a design that is both aesthetically pleasing and tonally rich; see the featured 7-string electric above. This guitar has a solid center block with a redwood top and Brazilian Rosewood back and sides. There is also a spruce block on the bass side of the guitar that is carved to mimic a Stratocaster arm bevel; the redwood top is then bent over the spruce. Please click on the thumbnail for more photos and full details.
Another guitar that is featured in this section is the angled fret guitar. This instrument has all the frets installed at 2½ degrees to the centerline. This idea, though not new, allows the left hand to find its natural position on the fingerboard. Again, click for more detailed information.
I would like to introduce to you some killer jazz musicians, one of which is my nephew, (but that has nothing to do with why I like these guys!). The group he plays in is called the New West Guitar Quartet and before you think that four guitars are three guitars too many, listen to what these guys are doing, it is amazing.
Another fantastic musician is David Jacobs-Strain. Blending solo guitar and vocals, his modern finger-style playing combined with traditional blues gives him a really hot sound.
It is wonderful to see these young musicians exploding onto the scene. Click on the middle icon to find out more, it will be well worth your time!
